Basic Information:This medicine is an antidiuretic hormone used to treat the symptoms of diabetes insipidus, bleeding episodes in patients with hemophilia or von Willebrand's disease, and bedwetting in children. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding.
Directions
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. This medicine comes with a patient information leaflet. Read it carefully. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have about this medicine. IT IS BEST TO STORE THIS MEDICINE IN THE REFRIGERATOR, but it may be stored at room temperature for up to 3 weeks. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not use 2 doses at once.
Cautions
DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE if you have had an allergic reaction to it or are allergic to any ingredient in this product. DO NOT USE MORE OF THIS MEDICINE or use it for longer than recommended because serious side effects may occur. Make sure that you are drinking the correct amount of fluid while taking this medicine. Serious side effects may occur if too much liquid is taken in while you are on this medicine, especially in children and the elderly. KEEP ALL DOCTOR AND LABORATORY APPOINTMENTS while you are using this medicine. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be done to monitor your condition or to check for side effects. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED IN BREAST MILK. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
Possible side effects
SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include headache, nausea, nasal congestion, runny nose, flushing, or abdominal cramps. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience ongoing headache, prolonged nausea or vomiting, unusual tiredness, unusual weight gain, or confusion. AN ALLERGIC REACTION to this medicine is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
